City and Colour - Bring Me Your Love The Canadian Record Industry Association (CRIA) has anounced its Gold and Platinum records for May 2008. We’re happy to hear that City & Colour’s Bring Me Your Love has gone Gold in Canada. Bring Me Your Love was produced by Dan Achen and recorded and mixed at Catherine North in late 2007. The album was released February 14, 2008 in Canada.

In Graham Rockingham’s February 19, Hamilton Spectator feature Green’s on fire with City and Colour, too, Dallas Green describes how he chose to use Catherine North to record his latest album, Bring Me Your Love.

Catherine North [Dallas] Green met Dan Achen, owner of Hamilton’s Catherine North Studio, at a music-industry function three years ago in Toronto. Achen’s business card had a photo of the interior of the old church. It shows a high, curved ceiling with lots of room for sound to gather.

Green, who’s on tour almost constantly, never found time to pay the studio a visit, but the picture stayed with him.

“I kept it in my wallet all those years, and after writing these songs I knew what I wanted: A more open concept,” Green said in an interview. “So I called up Dan (at Catherine North), and here we are.”
